Patricia King Beebe

Patricia Sharon King Beebe, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on January 29, 2026 at 77 years of age. She was the daughter of David and Lois King who, like Pat, were long-term residents of Niantic.

Pat graduated from New London High School in 1966, attended Middlebury College in Vermont for two years, and earned her B.A. in Social Work, with honors, from Yankton College, South Dakota in 1970. One of the highlights of her career was her 20-year stint as the manager of the Connecticut College bookstore.

Among the things Pat loved about her life was her home in Black Point Beach. She and her children, grandchildren, and extended family counted many members of this community as friends and regularly enjoyed the beach and the activities the association provided. She was an avid reader, a musician, a curator of family photos and history, a cat lover, and a devout believer that ice cream was appropriate for any meal.

Pat is survived by her two daughters, Alicia Dawn Beebe and Sarah King Beebe, three grandsons, two sisters, and five nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
