Born in New Haven, CT, on February 7, 1954, Paula was the daughter of Louis Paul and Irene Francesconi Morgillo. She shared a lifetime of love and memories with her late husband, Arnold Gonzalez, who she carried in her heart always.
Paula was known to all who loved her as a dedicated and passionate “workaholic.” For more than 20 years, she worked side by side with her healthcare family, where she found both purpose and lifelong friendships. She had no plans of ever retiring!
Outside of work, Paula’s greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. She loved cheering on loved ones at the Waterford Speedbowl, attending TSO concerts to kick off the Christmas season, and enjoying firework cruises on Niantic Bay during the “Christmas in July” toy drives. Sunday morning get-togethers at her favorite coffee spot and simple gatherings with friends and family brought her the greatest happiness. No matter the activity, Paula brought laughter, love, and joy, making every moment together truly special.
Paula’s heart was always full of love for her family, friends, and her two cherished fur babies, Toto and Ronnie. She is survived by her brothers, Al Morgillo and his wife Kimberly, and Louis Morgillo; her sister, Leslie Jones; her beloved nieces and nephews—Andrew Morgillo, Tyler Jones, Alex Jones, Teri Churchill and her husband Randy, and Rene Morgillo and her husband Joe—and her great-nieces, Brooke Churchill and Alana Galbo, who brought her endless joy. Paula also leaves behind lifelong friends, Craig and Debbie Jones, and a large extended family, along with countless dear friends whose lives she touched with her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love.
