Ralph was born on July 16, 1930 in Danbury, CT, the son of Howard and Katherine Polley. After graduating from Danbury High School he attended Dartmouth College. He was employed as a physicist at NUSC until his retirement in 1981. He married Melitta Ann Conner in 1962 and they moved to East Lyme in 1965 where they raised their family. After his retirement, Ralph was a musician playing the piano with a classical quartet as well as a band.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ann, daughter Allison (Andrew) Hirsch of Brookline, MA and Son Lee Jordan Polley (Liliana) of Manchester, CT as well as 4 grandchildren.
Family and close friends are invited to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 16th at 11:00am at the Polley family home in East Lyme.
