Robin was born on September 5, 1956, in Stafford Springs, CT, the daughter of Robert and Myrtle Pixley. She began her education at STCC to earn her CST certification. She worked as a certified surgical technologist at Johnson Memorial Hospital for many years, and later went back to school at Asnuntuck Community College, earning an associate’s degree in business. When her children were older, she went back to school again, this time earning her B.A. in general studies with a concentration in business from Eastern Connecticut State University. From there, she became the Operating Room Support Services Manager at Hartford Hospital. She finally retired shortly after her first grandson was born and very quickly adapted to becoming a full-time loving Grandmother.
Robin was the cement that held her family together and was loved by all who knew her. Her time on Earth was cut short, but was selflessly spent providing unwavering support to her family and dedication to working in the medical field. Her absence will leave an unfillable void in her family and everyone else she touched throughout her life. She approached her battle with pancreatic cancer as she did anything else in her life- with quiet determination, the unwillingness to give up, and the strength to fight it with everything in her.
Mrs. Leslie is survived by her loving husband Kevin, son Nicolas Leslie and daughter-in-law Kimberly Robbins, daughter Sarah Leslie, grandsons, Cooper, Jett, and Dak Leslie, and her favorite grandcat, Monster.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Niantic Community Church, 170 Pennsylvania Ave., Niantic, CT.
