Alana Betty Hatfield

Alana was a devoted mother, loving partner, cherished daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her beloved son, Myles Reid Haun; her significant other, Lane Haun; her parents, Dan and Victoria Hatfield; her siblings, Justin Hatfield, Josh (Malory) Harrell, and Britney Hatfield; and many family members and friends who will forever hold close the memories they shared with her.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her maternal grandparents, Betty and Marlin Dufrene; her paternal grandparents, Betty and Thomas Hatfield Jr.; and her paternal step-grandmother, Connie Hatfield.

Alana graduated from Hahnville High School in May 2015. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2021. After graduation, Alana began her career with Cornerstone Chemical Company.

Alana fought a long and difficult battle with incredible strength and determination. Through it all, she continued to find joy in the people and moments she loved most. She loved traveling with her family and making memories together, especially on trips to the beach, where they could search for shells and listen to the waves crash. Alana also had a playful, mischievous spirit and loved keeping her family and coworkers on their toes with a well-timed prank or jump scare.

While Alana accomplished much throughout her life, her greatest accomplishment and greatest love was being Myles’s mother. The two of them made the most of every moment together. She treasured their morning commutes to school, spending those extra moments taking endless selfies and jamming out to whatever song happened to be Myles’s latest obsession. She and Myles shared a love for Taylor Swift, or “Taylor Switch,” as Myles would say. More than anything, Alana was proud to watch her beautiful, confident son grow and head off to school.

To her family, Alana was always their princess. She was loved, treasured, and spoiled in all the ways a family loves their girl, and that special place she held in their hearts will never be replaced.

Alana’s time here was far too short, but she filled those years with love, laughter, family, and memories that will be carried forward by everyone who knew her. Her greatest legacy will always be the love she gave to Myles and the life they shared together.

Though she is deeply missed, Alana’s family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace, surrounded by those who went before her, and that her love will remain with them always.

A private service will be held for family and close friends.
