Betty Andry Faucheux

She was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter “Bunny” Faucheux and leaves behind 4 sons(Bobby, Barry, Billy, and Benny Faucheux), 3 daughters in laws (Cheri and Donnette Faucheux, and Jennifer Klein.), 9 Grandchildren (Brad, Nichole, Dustin, Logan, Kaylie, Brandie, Brennan, Travis, Tanner) and an abundance of Nieces, Nephews, and Great Grandchildren.

Our mother was a kind, loving and caring person who always put the needs of her family first. She faced many challenges in life. She was an inspiration to us all, and everyone she came in contact with. She often reminisced about many wonderful memories while raising her family in the small community of Good Hope, and the closeness of the neighboring children, who considered her like a second mom.

After moving to Destrehan, our mother quickly became very involved with the community, especially to the St. Charles Borromeo Church. She would decorate the church for many celebrations with floral arrangements, which was one of her many talents, particularly during the Christmas holiday. She enjoyed attending church missions where she was able to visit orphanages and offered them clothing that she’d embroidered, which was another of her many talents and passions. The family would also like to express their thanks to Mitzi Brescher, who provided wonderful care and companionship to our mother for the last 5 years of her life.

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye Our mother will be forever missed by her family, friends, and community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12PM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. Visitation will begin at 10AM for the public. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
