Beverly Mae Voorhies Moïse

Beverly Mae Voorhies Moïse passed away at her home in Destrehan, Louisiana on September 19, 2021 at 8:42AM at the age 89. She was born at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 19, 1932 to the late Elden George Voorhies and Alice Mae Allen Voorhies. On October 9, 1962, she was baptized at The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Beverly attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School, 1946-1950. She was a member of the Garden Club, Dominican Lunch Bunch, and Nifty Fifties.

On June 5, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Joseph Moïse, Sr. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. They wold go on to share 67 years of marriage and five sons.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Moïse, Sr. and her five sons, Kenny Moïse, Jr. (Karen), Kevin Moïse, Keith Moïse, Kirk Moïse, and Kraig Moïse. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle Moïse, Katherine Moïse, Rachael Tilley, Kaitlyn Miller, Erin Moïse, Kameron Moïse, and Dillon Moïse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10AM.
