Brandy Badeaux McGovern

Brandy Badeaux McGovern passed away at her home on January 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Chris McGovern, her children, Camryn Schexnayder, Kyleigh McGovern and Avery McGovern, and grandchildren, Beaux and Baylor. She is also survived by her parents, Michelle Freeman (Randall) and Troy Badeaux (Kellie), sister, Amanda Dottolo (Duffy), her grandmother, Dorothy “Dottie” Catoire and father-in-law, Bryan “Cocahoe” McGovern as well as a host of step siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and family members to cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alden Badeaux, Sr., Janice LeBouef, and William Catoire, and her mother-in-law, Roxanne McGovern.

Brandy loved to cook her famous Gumbo and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed taking vacations, especially cruises and trips to Grand Isle. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, beginning at 10AM. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30AM.
