Charles (Charlie) Warren Lambert, Jr., aged 70, a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1955 to Charles W. Lambert, Sr. and Valeria Adele Lambert of Destrehan. He was a 1974 graduate of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Destrehan and became a certified welder at Delgado Community College soon after. He married Andrea Braud Lambert of St. Rose, LA on June 26, 1976. Together they built a beautiful life full of love, laughter, and family over nearly five decades of marriage.
Charlie dedicated his life to providing for and loving his family. Whether coaching youth sports, leading Cub Scouts, or cheering from the sidelines he never missed an opportunity to support his children. He was a member of CCA River Parishes and a volunteer at the Little Red Church Festival for many years. He found his greatest joy in being a husband, father, and Paw Paw. He treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. From fishing trips and hunting adventures to backyard barbecues, family vacations, and holidays filled with laughter, Charlie’s happiest moments were those surrounded by the people he loved most.
Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, loved country music and enjoyed working with his hands. He took pride in designing, planning, and building his family home in New Sarpy and a fishing camp in Grand Isle, Louisiana. He retired from Shell Norco after 37 years of service in various positions finishing as a pressure equipment inspector in the EPI Dept. Charlie spent much of his retirement traveling across North America hunting and fishing with his family and good friends. His fishing camp in Grand Isle became a gathering place where countless memories were made with family and friends. Charlie and Andrea consider the island community like a second home. Charlie loved live music, dancing, his cowboy boots, and perfect BBQ. If you were lucky enough to be in his circle, you know how much we will all miss his infectious smile.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea, of 49 years, his daughter, Jessica Hayes (Ryan), his son, Marcus Lambert (Amber), his daughter, Monica Carruth (Kevin), his grandchildren, Wyatt Hayes, Lily Hayes, Kellan Carruth, Winston Lambert, Scarlet Carruth, and Naomi Lambert, his sister, Gail Vial (Glen), and his brother, Allen Lambert (Denise). He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Adele, his sister, Betty Bourgeois (Joe), his brother, Freddie Lambert, and his brother-in-law, Glen (Prof) Vial.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA 70047. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, a memorial mass at 11:30am and interment to follow.
All family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Charlie’s life following the ceremonies at the Mule Barn.
