We remember him as a sweet young man. You and your family are in our prayers.

Derek was one of the most honest , trusting , and loving people. He would help you through anything. Always putting other people first. He has taught me many things. He was an amazing friend , and advice giver. Derek may you rest in peace with all the love and care. I look back on our memories and cry & laugh. I know god is taking care of you! Love You & You WILL be MISSED !

Derek was such an amazing man. We love him truly and miss him terribly. We were so very proud he thought of us as his family. He touched our hearts from the day we met him and we will forever cherish each and every memory of him. He was one of a kind and we were blessed when he walked into our lives. We know he will watch over all those he loved and will always be in our hearts.
