Doris L. Mayeux

Doris L. Mayeux, a lifelong resident of Destrehan, was born November 4, 1925, and passed away June 20, 2025, at the age of 99. She is preceded by her first husband Alvin J. Gaubert in 1976 and her second husband, Magnus Mayeux, in 2022. She is also preceded by her parents, Julius and Estelle Louque, and siblings, Donald Louque, Julius Louque, Jr., Theresa Roussel, and Nolan Louque, and her son, Ronald Gaubert.

She is survived by her sons, Glen Gaubert (Judy), Alvin Gaubert (Christina), daughter-in-law Cynthia Gaubert, 4 grandchildren, Angela, Brad, Bryan, and Jeremy and 10 great grandchildren.

Doris worked for many years as a schoolteacher, she went out to work at an insurance agency, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Doris enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 27, 2025, at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 22 Apple St. Norco, LA beginning at 9:30AM. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 11AM with interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Saint Rose, LA.
