Dorothy Jean Simoneaux

Dorothy Jean Goodwin Simoneaux passed away on November 7, 2020 at the age of 82. She has now rejoined her late husband, Randy Simoneaux, in their heavenly home. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Elvis Bowen and Ginger Fabre, her sister Linda Naquin, her grandchildren; Kasey Bowen and Shane Bowen, and her great-grandchildren; Dakota Fabre, Lance Bowen, Landon Bowen and Kasen Bowen. She was born on March 28, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia to her parents; Lewis and Odessa Goodwin. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson David Fabre Jr. and her siblings; Ronald Goodwin, LJ Goodwin, Sandra Naquin and Kenny Goodwin. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Dorothy had a heart of gold and was always caring for others. She spent 14 years at Montessori of the Riverlands and 20 years working at Sacred Heart and where she took care of many children. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. I worked with Ms. Jean at Sacred Heart School. I helped her with PM care. I admired her for taking of so many children. She was a faithful worker. She was always at the school so early in the morning. She greeted everyone with a smile. A great woman of God!!
