

Duffy P. Metrejean, Jr. passed away at his home with his family on December 18, 2022 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Sharon Metrejean for 32 years and father of Blake (Chelcie), Monica, Amy, and the late Erica. Grandfather of Dax Metrejean and six other grandchildren. Son of the late Duffy Metrejean, Sr. and the lateVerges Metrejean. Brother of Patsy Michel (Danny) and Aloma Rodrigue. Brother-in-law of Joseph Bourgeois, Jr. (Linda), Linda Boudreaux (Gerald), Carl Bourgeois (Jan), Keith Bourgeois (Pam), Deryle Bourgeois (Jessica), Elaine Tallman (Paul), Terry Bourgeois (Barbara), Debbie Page (the late Mike), the late Wayne Bourgeois (Charlotte), and David Bourgeois.
Duffy’s love for music was his passion. He was best known for his lead vocals in his classic rock band “Cypress” that started in the late 70’s and would go on well into the 80’s. Duffy had a magnetic personality; any stranger he met became his friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion during this time, they would also like to extend a special thank you to his friend Teddy Myers for everything he has helped with, and we could not do it without him.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling beginning at 11AM. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at Southern Title, 13323 Hwy 90 in Boutte, LA.
