Ernest Anthony Haydel

Ernest Anthony Haydel, age 90, died peacefully on July 23, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Angela Migliore Haydel. He is survived by his four children, Craig David Haydel and wife Jane, Chris Michael Haydel, Marvin Charles Haydel and wife Leila, and Stephanie Haydel Kleehammer and husband Mark. He also leaves behind 7 beloved grandchildren, 3 precious great-grandchildren, and his sister Jennie Haydel Maggiore Landry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Haydel and Elda Augustine Waguespack and his siblings Jesse and Rita Haydel.

Mr. Ernie was the ultimate do-it-yourself guy. He would tackle any project. He was resilient and a committed husband, father and grandpa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Destrehan, LA on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 9:30AM until 11:30AM. A funeral Mass will follow in the church at 11:30AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
