Eva Thibodaux Trepagnier passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice Carpenter House, surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born in Jeanerette, LA, on July 18, 1931, to Jack and Mabel Thibodaux. She was a graduate of the Southwestern Louisiana Institute, where she was a proud member of the “Red Jackets” and excelled at archery.
Eva married Roy Trepagnier on October 4, 1952, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette. Roy and Eva resided in and raised their family in Norco, LA, where she taught at St. Charles Borromeo High School in Destrehan. She was an accomplished crocheter and especially enjoyed creating beautiful pieces for her family and loved ones. She also enjoyed playing the piano and cooking for her family. In Norco, she participated in the Bridge Club, St. Joseph’s Altar, and the Nifty Fifties.
In her later years, she was blessed to reside at Lake Sherwood Village, where she made wonderful friends and took part in the many activities and events offered there. She especially enjoyed bingo and reading.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Roy Trepagnier, and her son-in-law, Michael Lloyd.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Patricia) Trepagnier and Lisa Lloyd; her grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Serpas, Matthew (Catherine) Trepagnier, Myles (Mallory) Lloyd, and Erica (Eric) Fontenot; and her great-grandchildren, Rory, R.J., and Reece Serpas, Owen and Emilia Trepagnier, Henry and Ruby Lloyd, and Michael, Thomas, Jack, and Jude Fontenot.
The family wishes to thank Audubon Home Health, Lake Sherwood Village, Ochsner Baton Rouge Medical Center, and St. Joseph Hospice for all their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church in Norco beginning at 10AM, Mass will begin at 11AM with burial to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
