Faith Agnes Champagne Roussel

Faith Agnes Champagne Roussel was born in Edgard, LA on April 19, 1932 and passed away November 23, 2021. She was a resident of Luling, LA for the past 66 years. Wife of George Paul Roussel, Jr. Mother of George III (Angie), John L. (Tami), Neal (Jeanene) and Scott (Donna). Grandmother of Dustin (Heather), Lani Fonseca (Brad), Blair Williams (Pete), Jordan (Amanda), Logan, Hudson, and Morgan. Great Grandmother of Vivian Roussel, Averi and Ellie Fonseca, Trent and Ava Roussel. Sister of the late Iris C. DeLaneuville, Doris C. Matherne, Audrey C. Reynaud, Rita Jane Bohn, Durward Champagne, Wallace Champagne, Frankie Champagne, Mary Lou C. Schexnayder, and Joy C. Schexnayder. Daughter of the late Paul J. Champagne and Aline Copponex Champagne. She is also survived many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many close friends.

Faith retired from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff Tax Collection Office. She was a founding member of Willowdale Country Club, a member of The Golden Girls Women’s Club, and a Parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing and travel. She loved visiting with family and friends, and was always the life of the party. She will be deeply missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Lane, Luling, LA. Visitation will begin at 9AM for the public. Burial will be held at St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Compassus or The American Cancer Society.
