He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Roberts Sr. He is survived by his mother, Iris Andrus, step-father, Joseph Andrus, siblings, Susan Powell and Dawn Brown, and nieces, Jessica Pfister (Jimmie), Ashley Ranatza (Kevin), and Brittany Powell (Joshua Nye).
Joey worked offshore on oilrigs for many years, and then worked at KCCM cable company for a year and a half before he became ill. He loved fishing and being outdoors, and will be remembered for his kind heart and his love for animals.
A funeral service will be held on August 2, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church in Norco, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 11AM with a prayer service to begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
