Isabell Marie Madere

Isabell Gourgues Madere was born October 19, 1926 and joined her heavenly family on September 2, 2017 at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband James Farrell Madere Jr., daughter Kathy Mulligan, her parents Elmore and Chloe Zeringue Gourgues. She is also preceded by her siblings Amy Gourgues Madere Upton, Lucille Gourgues Landeche, Elmore Gourgues Jr., Elsise Gourgues McCabe, Maude Gourgues Joubert, and Lester Gourgues.

She is survived by her children Julian Madere (Jenny), Pamela Madere Kelly, Kim Madere (Kathy), Keith Madere (Vanessa Horn), Jennifer Daigle (David), 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and one son-in-law, Jack Mulligan.

Mrs. Isabell was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to cook and sew, especially hand embroidery; she enjoyed traveling and watching football.

The family wishes to thank the staff of The Carpenter House for their care and compassion in her final hours, and her caregivers Dolores Archuleta, Bambi Hendrix, Jamie Dempster, Angela Sandier, and Val Paz.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, LA at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM, interment to follow at St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling, LA. Condolences may be expressed at www.HCAlexander.com.
