I knew Mr. Oubre in the early 1970's and he was always cheerful and someti.es silly . He called me "The First Lady".
He wanted to finance a day care center and have me run it, but I had no business sense and turned him down. This was before the days of private preschools and that was his idea.
I loved him when I knew him and he will be missed.

We just found out that Bradley passed away.  We are very sorry to lose him.  Although we haven't seen or visited with Bradley for quite a while, we have so many fond memories of our times together.  May God Bless the family.  Jeff and Judy Scheider

My condolences and sympathy go out to the entire Oubre Family. Bradley was a legend in the River Parishes and known as a top notch Legal Real Estate Expert, qualified in State and Federal Courts.  I first met him in the 70s, when I  started practicing Law in Norco.  He would always have an upbeat attitude toward life  and would always be willing to share a great joke or story about our local and state political culture. He was smart, astute, intelligent, persuasive, witty, and politically savvy. He was always a pleasure to be around, both personally and politically. He was a Legend in the Legal Community of the River Parishes. May he rest in Eternal peace.

My husband, Dave and I were blessed to have known Mr. Oubre! We met him a little over a year ago at the Veterans Home where my Dad, Bill Rouchell, has been living.  Mr. Oubre ALWAYS made us laugh and look at the positive even when we knew he might not have been having a good day.  He and Dave really loved sharing jokes and he always had a new one to tell us! For the past months or so when I wouldn't see him in the center court I would go to his room and bring him a snack of some sort and  share a story or two with him. I can tell you that his FAMILY  was everything to him and he truly loved each and every one of his kids and grandkids!  I will have a hard time when we are able to go back and visit without seeing him but I know he is in a better place! God Bless my friend,

Ben, we are so sorry to hear of Mr. Bradley's passing. We think of the "old gang" often and how much we miss those times. Mr. Bradley was always a true gentleman. He never met a stranger. Even a brash young lawyer who, after combat, he embraced with a genuine smile, thoughtful manner and sage advice. He was truly a one-of-a-kind treasure and we will never forget him.

It had to have been in the late 80's when drove over from Mandeville to meet Bradley about some real estate deal.  What the deal was, I have no clue, but whenever I see signs to Norco I think of him.   He was the most fun, joyful person I've ever met in real estate, and I've always wished I could have gotten a few more deals going with him.



My sympathy to Bradley's family, especially Lezanne, Buck, Bill, Bob, Ben, and his brother George. Bradley was a good friend of mine. Rest in peace.

I will always remember his smile. He always had a joke or a  story. He would visit us at the Pappace Office depot sometimes daily but usually weekly. He always called us ladies beautiful.  He was a great man and I often remember him bringing us a treat.  I loved to hear stories of him and his true love. He would share how they met and how he would sing to her. Prayers to the family.

Ben, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing.   You and your family have my deepest condolences.

I am heartbroken to hear about your dad’s passing, he was a good friend of my dad’s at the va home, he showed my dad the ropes when he got there he connected with my dad because they knew each other years ago, they were like brothers,they looked out for each other until the day my dad passed, he was depressed when I told him about his-friend, now I am proud to call your dad a friend of mine, he was sharp as a tack and a good guy, I give my condolences  because my heart is also broken.

I met Mr. Oubre last fall when I was doing Clinical Pastoral Praxis as part of my Diaconate Formation.  He was introduced to me by Mr.  St.  Amant.  When I went to his room Mr. Oubre was there.  He was a wealth of information about St. Charles Borromeo, both the church and the man.  
He showed me his rosary that he had bought from some nuns or from a convent.  He was so attached to that rosary. He always had it with him.  Once when I was visiting him he couldn't find it and as he was looking in the dirty clothes bin and his bed he kept repeating, "bad word, bad word, bad word..." as his way of not using a curse word. 
He was always glad to see me and always pronounced my last name with the French inflection.  After Mr. St.  Amant died, he and I spent about an hour just talking about how the two of them had become friends.  It was a wonderful conversation.  I am glad I got to pray with him a few times.
