Janet Marie Granier Hymel passed away on June 4th 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 91. Born in 1930 in Luling Louisiana, Janet was the daughter of the late Ella and Louis (Cotton) Granier.
Janet was married to the late Marc Hymel in 1950. Together they raised 7 daughters and 3 sons. She is survived by 9 of her 10 children, 24 of her 25 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Three more great grandchildren are expected this summer. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Sylvia Granier, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling from 9 to 11 am on June 17th 2022. Janet’s funeral mass will begin at 11 am. Burial services will follow at St. Charles Cemetery and Mausoleum in Luling.
