John Anthony Agnelly Sr.

John A. Agnelly Sr., age 76, of Luling, LA passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. John was born on July 13, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to Wilfred and Bessie Agnelly. John served his country in the US Navy and retired as a Supervisor for Entergy, Inc.

John was preceded in death by his parents Wilfred and Bessie Agnelly; and his siblings, Pete and Bobby Agnelly, and Lena Norton.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Henri Sue Agnelly; his children, John, Jr. (Kirsten), Steven, Anthony "Tony", and Peter Agnelly; grandchildren, Brittani, Nicholas, Emily, Taylor, Addison, and Ethan Agnelly; great grandson, Kisen Agnelly; siblings, Joann Bocklud (the late Bill), and Mary Bealer (Ronnie). Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial mass at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 234 Angus Dr., Luling, LA on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 10:00am. Burial with military honors will follow mass in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Following the burial, a reception in his honor will be held at the CA Building at St. Anthony of Padua.
