Joyce Mary Donaldson

Joyce Mary Donaldson passed away January 26, 2018 at the age of 84. She is survived by her siblings, Arthur L. Donaldson (Elaine), Jeri D. Landry (Coy), and Doris D. Menezes (the late Bob). Nieces and nephews, Debra Calkins (Scott), Lori Dowden (the late Paul), Arthur L. Donaldson (Amy), Sharon Caughman (William), Don Paul Landry, John Landry (Jenny), Robert Menezes Jr. (Cheryl), Mark Menezes (Yun), Donah Barrios (L.J.), and Lewis Menezes (Sharon). She is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Marchand Donaldson and two sisters Ruby and Norma Donaldson.

Joyce was a native of Norco and retired from Shell after many years of dedicated service. Joyce was a member of the Ovation Community Chorus, Metairie Music Club, and Melodears, Nifty Fifties, Sacred Heart of Jesus Altar Society, Sacred Heart of Jesus Choir, and the St. Charles Borromeo Funeral Choir. She loved singing, her family, and watching football. She will be remembered as a kind and generous woman and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco on Thursday, February 1, 2018 beginning at 9 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan. Following services there will be refreshments at the Ormond Plantation Carriage House.
