Kenneth Anthony Champagne Sr.

Kenneth Anthony “Coopie” Champagne, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born on November 23, 1943 in New Orleans to Alcest and Suzanne Champagne. Kenneth married Carmella on April 1, 1967, which eventually made him the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ever be. He worked as a millwright for ADM until he retired to live his life to the fullest camping, hunting, and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren. He was also very involved in his religion and church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carmella Champagne, his children, Kenneth Champagne, Jr. and Connie Champagne Fricken (David), grandchildren, Jordan Champagne, Carly Fricken, and Gage Champagne, brother, Adler Champagne, and sisters, Mary Ann Lendle and Margie Bucher. He was reunited with Alcest Champagne, Suzanne Ford Champagne, Stanley Champagne, Ralph Champagne, William Champagne, and Jeanette Nicholay.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Lane, Luling, LA 70070. Visitation will be held from 10AM - 11AM with a memorial Mass to begin at 11AM.
