I've know him since high school and he always seemed to be smiling or in the company of a lovely lady on his side. He offered me a ride to an important appearance I had for traffic court, a few months ago when I really was in need of help. As we sat in the parking lot, we spoke of how things used to be and how we both were in these days. He confided in me, and voiced some of his opinions and problems. I encouraged him to keep his head up, to do right, and if he ever needed to talk,I'd be there for him. I assured him time heals and that he is loved, for which he thanked me. After he drove me home, I showed my appreciation and told him to call me whenever or for anything he may need, even just to vent to me if needed. We shook hands, hugged, and I'm sorry for his family and friends, and wish we all had another chance to speak with him. May he rest in peace and no longer face the evil in life.

Although only a little over a year ago meeting KJ, he connected with my son in under five minutes. As I told Anne, KJ brought clarity to years of searching. Such a open, loving, fun and interesting person I am so blessed and yet so sad is gone. My Nathan loved hanging with him and I know from KJ’s texts and in person comments the feeling was mutual. What fun we all had at Nathans birthday party just last year! The plans to go to a or any music festival together scheduled and re scheduled... they both wanted to dance and sing together❤️ Nathan and I’s hearts are sad but so so grateful for the blessing of knowing KJ. Thank you Anne!

Some of my most fondest memories come from our annual family beach trip. It was always the highlight of my year. One reason was because it was 7 days with my cousins to do whatever we wanted to do. K.J. never new a stranger, because he would make it a point to meet everyone in a room. I’ve always admired that about him, along with his ability to make anyone smile 😃. You will be missed but never forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Anne, Kenny, Ashley and K. J. 's family. I am deeply sorry for your tremendous loss. The memory that comes to mind is the one of a young, cute, little boy, K.J. who was a very good baseball player. You could easily see him with his precious bowl cut of gorgeous blond hair that flopped just so when he ran. The boys had a great team. He was quiet and very polite to all moms, anyway. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. You are all in our hearts.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Rinie and Tre' Dinges
