Mary Jane "Jeanie" Bergeron Rome

Mary Jane “Jeanie” Bergeron Rome, 88 years young, passed away September 10, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born in Goodhope, La on August 31, 1928 and was raised in Norco, LA. She resided in St. Amant, LA. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful seamstress and loved to sew for her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fernand Rome, her parents, Ciprean and Amelia Louque Bergeron, her daughter Donna L. Rome, and sister, Dorothy Catorie.

She is survived by her son, Glen Rome (Angel) of Mandeville and daughter Lynn Redmon (Calvin) of Baton Rouge. Grandchildren; Chauntel Federer (Steve) of Mandeville, Chad Granier (Kim) of California, Corey Granier (Letty) or Texas, Stacy Guedry (Brad) of St. Amant, Crystal Borne (Daniel) of Prairieville, Stephanie Gravois of Gonzales, Jimbo Gravois (Allison) of Port Allen, and Ryan Rome (Jaimee) of Mandeville. Great grandchildren; Chandler and Addisyn Guedry, Kailyn, Aiden, and Tailer Borne, Averie Gravois, Elizah Rome, Haley, Steven Federer (Sarah), and two great-great grandchildren, Zoe and Gabriel Federer. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 beginning at 9:30 AM.
