Matthew Joseph Ramos

Matthew Joseph Ramos, age 35 of Norco, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Matthew was born in Metairie, LA on October 11, 1990 to Carlos Emeterio Ramos and Lisa Heurtin Ramos. He was a lifelong resident of Norco, LA and a 2010 graduate of Destrehan High School. Matthew was a dedicated employee of NATCO Food Service in Reserve, LA since 2018, and in his spare time, he was an avid fisher and a wrestling fan. Matthew was what most people call a gentle giant and never met a stranger. The family asks that you always remember him as the loving and funny guy that he was. In his memory, be kind and maybe even cast a line.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Ramos; his grandparents, Kay and Floyd Heurtin, Sr. and Felix, Sr. and Alpha Barletta Ramos; and his aunts and uncles, Floyd Heurtin, Jr., Timothy Heurtin, Victor Ramos, Francesca and Robert Hayden, and Wayne Thompson; and his beloved dog, Oreo.

Survivors include his beloved mother, Lisa Ramos; his siblings, Travis Ramos (Ashley) and Sara Ramos; his nephews, Mason and Emmett Fernandez; his aunts and uncles, Steve Heurtin (Dorrit), Mitchell Heurtin, Penny Heffner (John), Lisa Thiboudaux (Raymond), Ramona Thompson, Juan Ramos (Crystal), and Felix Ramos, Jr. Matthew is also survived by many cousins and friends whom he loved like family.

Please join us at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, LA, on Monday, October 19, 2026, visitation will begin at 9AM with memorial Mass to follow at 11AM.
