

Nicholas C. Sardegna, Jr., entered into heaven on September 23, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of the late Joy Tomlinson Sardegna, he is survived by his daughters, Toni Sardegna-Clement (Carey), Angie Sardegna Louque (Nolan), and Jennifer Sardegna Atkinson (Shannon), he is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor S. Robert (Justin), Megan L. Stamps (Jordan), Carly Clement, Cameron Clement, Rayna Sardegna, Sara Louque, Nathan Atkinson, four great- grandchildren, and his sisters, Dolores S. Faucheux (late Daniel), Barbara S. Crespo (Sidney), Sandy S. Simon (late Gorden), and Gayle S. LeFevre, and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas Sardegna, Sr. and Ethel Madere Sardegna.
Nick was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; he taught CCD for 25 years; he was involved in the Men of Manresa, and he sang in the church choir. He said the choir was so important in his life, the “words to the musical prayers kept him going, and he thinks the Lord must feel his love for singing His praise.”
He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Shell Oil after 38 years.
He will be remembered as loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, visitation will begin at 10AM, with Memorial Mass to follow at 12PM. Inurnment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org) or the American Heart Association (Heart.org).
