poppa ran - i still remember the day we drove to florida when mom told us y'all were getting married..."we need to pick a name for him, not Mr. Randy" is what she told us.  you were an amazing father to john, randy and i.  my memory of my childhood is a happy one, filled with family vacations and trips trawling and camping.  i am forever grateful to you for that and i hope that i can provide my children with such fond memories.  i am so saddened that you will not watch my babies grow here, with them, but i know you will always be watching over them.  we miss you and love you so much.  i know you are in heaven now, resting peacefully and without pain.  i thank God for sparing you a great deal of suffering and for holding you close on those last days, giving you the courage to accept His will.  it sucks for all of us left behind, but i know one day we'll all be together again...no pain, no sickness, just happiness and fun!

We know that words are inadequate at a time like this but we wanted you to know how very sorry we are for your loss. The loss of a spouse & father is a tragic event and we know the pain and suffering you are experiencing. To my beloved husband, even though we were together only for a short time, I want to thank you for being an exceptional husband, friend, and father. Even though our time together was a learning experience, we had some great times together. I will sorely miss your presents with me physically, but I also know that you will always be there to protect your family.
