

He was born in New Orleans on March 30, 1943 to Purney and Harry Duhe, Sr. He was married to Linda Duhe for 63 years. Dickie grew up in his beloved town of Good Hope and lived in Norco for the past 63 years.
Dickie is survived by his wife, Linda, his son, Michael (Christy), his daughter Kitty (Kurt) Brignac and his daughter, Danielle (Matt) Loosemore. He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom he treasured - Mallory, Madeline and Ben Brignac and Allie and Adrienne Loosemore. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard (Rickey) Duhe, Jr., his brother, Harry Duhe, Jr and his parents, Purney and Harry Duhe, Sr.
Dickie worked at Shell Oil as a machinist for 35 years. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a volunteer firefighter for Norco Volunteer Fire Department and Shell Oil Emergency Response Team. Dickie served St. Charles Parish as a Constable and Councilman for over 20 years. He was known for his honesty and integrity.
Dickie was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Norco. He served on multiple church and school committees and as an usher. He was proud to have served as an usher during Pope John Paul II’s Mass in New Orleans in 1987.
Dickie was an avid history buff, especially World War II, and had much respect for military veterans. He was a deeply devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank his caretaker, Shannon Reale.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation and funeral services at Sacred Heart Church in Norco on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
