Robert "Bobby" Ray Chester Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Ray Chester Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Chester, and his parents; Robert Ray Chester Sr. and Santa Mae Calcagno Chester.

Robert was the loving husband to Wendy LaBasse Chester for 32 years, and wonderful father to his two daughters; Amanda Nicolini (Barry) and Ashley Mae Chester. He is also survived by his sister, Vicki Braud (Clark), sister-in-laws; Pam Ortis (John) and Renee Chester-Martin (Doug), his nieces and nephews; Laura Spurgeon (Jed), Gabe Minnich (Ashley), Sarah Chester, Brittany Braud, Courtney Braud, Jeremy Cousins (Hillary), Corey Cousins (Hannah), and a host of other family members and friends.

Bobby took pride in his work, dedicating over 47 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for various contractors, with the last several years being with Turner Industries, where he was able to forge some great friendships with the men in the crew. He enjoyed sitting outside drinking a “cold one”, messing around with his little red truck, and watching Nascar, but most of all he loved his Sports, especially his New Orleans Saints or LSU Football. Robert will be remembered by his family as a true family man, a hard worker, and provider. He will be truly missed by all of those who knew and loved him, and especially by his beloved pets; Piper and Bumper.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 13, 2021 for 9 AM followed by a small prayer service for 12 PM at H.C.
