Robert (Bob) McCarter, 80, a long-time resident of Destrehan, LA passed peacefully into eternal rest Sunday, April 26, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born August 4, 1945, in St. Louis, MO; predeceased by parents, Opal and Ralph McCarter and was predeceased by his wife of almost 40 years, Vicki McCarter.
He grew up in Missouri where he attended college for multiple degrees in education opting to then work for the Red Cross and later entered work as a Safety specialist on job sites that brought his family across the United States and other countries.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Liesl Danielson, BJ McCarter, his grandchildren; Gregory Danielson and wife Shiloh, Rachel, Madeline, and Benjamin Danielson; and companion Charlotte Moore.
The family is planning an Ashes Ceremony in the Caribbean for both Bob and Vicki later this year.
