Ruth Clarke Hamilton

Ruth Clarke Hamilton passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late John W. Hamilton of 45 years. Mother of Kathleen Landry (and the late Sam), Jean Low, and John Hamilton (Conchita). She was the grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. Sister of the late Kathleen Ellis and Mac Clarke.

Ruth was a volunteer nurse in China during World War II. She was also an avid swimmer who was a member of the Louisiana Senior Olympics. As a member of the St. Charles Ave. Presbyterian Church, Ruth was a member of the choir and became an elder after many years of service.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth Street, Norco, on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. A prayer service will be offered by Rev. Kelly Hostetler at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Clinton, LA.
