Santa “Sadie” Digirolamo Trosclair, age 102-1/2, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She was a long-time resident of Norco, LA. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Pat Bergeron; grandchildren Patrick (Cassi) and Ashley (Rickey); great-grandchildren Courtney (Phin), Trent, Kylar, Jordan, Marleigh, and Farrah. Sadie enjoyed the special bond she shared with each of her grand and great-grandchildren. Also, survived by siblings Sal Digirolamo (Deanie), Betty D. Mire, Rose D. Songy, and many beloved nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Preceded in death by husband of 70 years, Sidney “Pete” Trosclair; beloved grandson, Jason; parents Joseph and Josephine Ciravolo Digirolamo; brother Nick Digirolamo; sisters Marie D. Robert and Grace D. Giroir; brothers-in-law Paul Mire, Gerald Songy, Harold Robert, and Kirby Giroir; sister-in-law Myrt Digirolamo.
Sadie was a graduate of Destrehan High School (DHS) and proudly had the honor of being the first homecoming queen at DHS.
She was a charter member of the Norco Civic Association, and a member of Sacred Heart Altar Society and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Sadie loved to travel, dance, read, and play cards. She enjoyed preparing Italian meals for her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the loving nurses and care givers of Summerhouse/Ashton Living Center especially Lalonda, Marisol, Annie, Dianna, Pam, and Nurse Melissa. Also, everyone from Hospice Specialists of Louisiana.
Please join us at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, LA, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, visitation will begin at 9AM with memorial Mass to follow at 11AM. Inurnment to take place following the Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
