Stanley Louis Robert

Stanley Louis Robert, age 75. Resident of Destrehan, LA. Beloved husband of Marilyn Mamola Robert. Loving father of Melissa, Steve (Christee), and Darren Robert. Preceded in death by his mother, Emma Guidry Robert, and Father, Norbert Robert. Survived by his brothers, Ronald (Pat), Joey (Cindy), Gerald (Dee), Dennis (Debbie), and sister, Mona Robert Poche (Craig) and many nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Destrehan High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a Petty Officer 2nd Class aboard the USS Hancock, traveling to Korea and the Philippines in the cause of liberty. Former Commander, Treasurer and Adjutant of American Legion Post #195, Norco, LA. Retired from Shell Chemical Corporation after 39 years as an instrument inspector. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, LSU, and NASCAR. Stan loved fishing, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and corny Dad jokes.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hospice Compassus, Carpenter House, East Jefferson General Hospital, particularly the Cancer Center, with gratitude to Dr. Michael DeSalvo, Dr. Rizwan Aslam, Dr. Kendra Harris, and Dr. David Morrison for their special care. Also, appreciation for nurses Joseph, Kayla, Margo, and David for all the help and support they have given to Stanley these last several months.

Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10AM, followed by Funeral Mass at 12PM. Interment in the church cemetery.
