Tara Michelle Summers, a resident of Destrehan, LA, passed away February 1, 2015. She is survived by her parents Gerald “Jerry” and Carolyn Joffrion Summers, her sister Bridget Summers, her beloved dog Snuggles and her grandfather Clayton Joffrion. She is also survived by her aunts Charlotte Crummey (Chris Posey), Mary Whisnant (Wade), uncle Mackie Summers (Eleanor), and five cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Dixie Lewis Joffrion and Ruby Chiasson Summers, grandfather Mac Summers, uncle Clayton Joffrion Jr., and a cousin Cody Summers.
Tara was a graduate of Destrehan High School and LSU. She was an avid LSU fan and an advocate for the MS Society. Tara was a lover of the pool, surf and sand.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 9:15 AM until the time of Mass at 11:15 AM.
