Theresa Mejia, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. She was a home maker and a native of New Orleans and has lived in St. Charles Parish for the past five years and worked as a nurses aide.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Marco Antonio Mejia. Six sons; Peter, Augustus, Kirk and Keith Garcia and Marco and Thomas Mejia. One daughter Cynthia Chahoc. Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles Ficaro, Sr. and Eunice Nata Ficaro LeBourgeois. First husband, Peter Frank Garcia, Sr. Daughter, Catherine Garcia. Three siblings.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco on Friday, August 26, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Vincent DePaul Mausoleum in New Orleans.
