Thomas "Tommy" Savarino

Thomas “Tommy” Savarino passed away July 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Born to the late Sarah Rose Savarino and Thomas Mitchell Savarino, brother of the late Catherine Savarino Jameson, and father of the late Salvadore Savarino. Beloved husband of Diane Poppell Allen Savarino, loving father of Lisa Savarino Curley, Anthony Savarino (Wendy), Christina Savarino, Maria Savarino, and Amy Kenney (Terry). Beloved Poppie to Seth (Alyssa), Michaela, Bette, and Vincent. Godfather of Angie Jameson.

We would like to acknowledge and thank our dear friend and caregiver Tasha Abate for her love and care for the past year. She took care of both of us and whenever we needed her, she was there with a smile and support.

Tommy served in the United States Air Force. He will be remembered as a sweet, gentle man, he was loved and respected by all who knew him.

The Savarino Family would like to thank the Southeast Louisiana Veteran’s Home in Reservice, LA for all the love, care, and support given to him and our family throughout our most difficult time.

He has been raised up on Eagle’s Wings and is now soaring with the angels.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, visitation at 9:30AM with service at 10AM and light refreshments to follow until 12PM.
