Wanda M. Desentz passed away November 26, 2019 at the age of 55. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Troy Desentz and her children, Jessica Melancon (Jason), Scott Stonestreet, and Casey Desentz (fiancé Blake Laiche). She is also survived by her granddaughter, Hallie Melancon, brother Robert “Freddie” Wirstrom, Jr., mother Joan Combel (Paul), and mother-in-law Linda E. Desentz. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Wirstrom, Sr. and father-in-law Gerald B. Desentz. Wanda lived life to the fullest, whether in good health or sickness, she kept moving forward and let nothing set her back. She enjoyed being on the water and was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and horses. She will be remembered most of all for being 110% about family. Her kind heart will live on through everyone blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 beginning at 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
