Alma Marie Hudgins

Alma Marie Hudgins, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willard F. Harrell and the late Lizzie M. Perry Harrell. Alma was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.

Survivors include three children, James Hudgins Jr. (Felicia), Kay Hudgins, and Robin Poulter (Bill); five sister, Katherine Simmons, Minnie Earline Nery (Bob), Rachel Scott (Bobby), Mary Combs (Bill), and Tanya Hall (Tim); three brothers, Oliver Farrell Harrell (Barbara), Fred Harrell, and Perry Harrell (Bennie); two sisters in law, Carol Hudgins and Barbara McCarrick; and one brother in law, Joe Trammel.

Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years James Hudgins a.k.a. “Sonny”; a sister Nellie Crosby; and a brother Willard Harrell, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel at 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA. The interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.woodlawngroup.com.
