

Born in Poland, a survivor of the Concentration Camp in Buchenwald, he joined the U.S. Army in 1950 and served, heroically, in the Korean Conflict where he was injured. After his recovery he was assigned as manager of the Officers’ Club in Stuttgart,Germany.
In 1956 he married Margo Pfizenmayer and they moved to the United States. Benny worked for Fancy Foods of Va. for 26 years before he retired. He was a long time member of Temple Israel, was a Disabled American Veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the U.S. Army MacArthur Memorial Chapter.
Benny leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Margo and his daughter, Debbie Rios. Margo will deeply miss her dearest friend and companion who loved her to the end.
A celebration of Benny’s life will be held, Monday, September 8th at 1:00pm in the Good Shepard Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
His wife would like to thank Dr. Thomas Albercio, his staff, and the nurses of Sentara Va. Beach General Hospital for their kindness during Bennys’ illness.
