Bernard Earkin Hughes, 69, a native of Virginia Beach, gained his wings on December 28th. He was born to the late George and Almyra Hughes of SeaTack. Bernard is survived by his loving wife Audrey Hughes; daughter, Beverly Rivera (Sammy); granddaughter, Mariah; and 9 brothers and sisters. A visitation will be on Tues. 1/3, 6-8 PM, and a homegoing celebration will be held Wed.,1/4, 1PM, Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
