

Norfolk, Beverly Earle Marshall of Va. Beach passed away on March 16, 2009. He was raised in the Berkey section of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents E.C. Marshall and Susie Hodges Marshall.
During WWII he was a member of the 99th Infantry Division. One of the first soldiers to cross the Rhine River. He was awarded the Bronze star for bravery on the bridge at Remagen. He survived the Battle of the Bulge. After being discharged he worked at the Naval Air Reworks facility in Norfolk. Beverly was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church and also loved the Beach Fellowship Church of Virginia Beach.
He was preceded in death his first wife Gertrude Marshall. Brothers Vernon, Chesley and Roland. He is survived by wife Polly A. Marshall. A brother Garland of Chesapeake and a sister Mary Sue Hatcher of Florida. Children Larry Green, Peggy Cornelius, LeRoy Hall and Guy Hall and several grandchildren. Vistitation will be Thursday, March 19 from 6-8 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Friday, March 20 at 1:00pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
