Cheasapeake- Bonny Roland Jones, 91, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Sentara Nursing Center. He was born October 22, 1919, in Norfolk,VA, and was the widower of Martha Louise Jones, his companion for 69 years of marriage. He retired from the Norfolk City Fire Department after 35 years of service. He is survived by son Bonny R. Jones III and his wife Brenda of Chesapeake; one daughter, Carolyn J. Farris of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. A graveside service will be on Wednesday, 2pm, located at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
