Burt Gene Miller

Burt Gene Miller, 60, passed away March 20, 2014. Born in Key West, Florida to Floyd H. and Doris M. Miller.   Burt was a sign painter, artist, and model sailboat builder. His first love was family, friends, and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1975-1978. Burt is survived by his mother Doris M. Miller of Chesapeake, sisters; Bonny Ellington and husband Dallas of Norfolk, VA., Sheri Breiner and husband Tom of Marco Island, FL., Sandra Miller of Virginia Beach, VA., and brother Michael Miller and his wife Donna of Lake Stevens, WA., several nieces and nephews, Shawn, Tonia, Christina, Keith, Brian, Dawn, Tony; two great-nephews Nathan and Ryder, and one great niece Madeleine   A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5th at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach, Blvd., Norfolk, VA. A memorial plaque will be placed in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at a later date.   In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chesapeake Humane Society, P.O.
