Charles T. Clayton, 74, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018. Known as Tommy by his friends and family, he would do anything for you and was well loved by all! Tommy proudly served 20 years in the US Navy and retired as a Senior Chief. After retiring he enjoyed working in his garden and yard and doing projects around the house. He was also awesome with coupons and finding great deals!
Tommy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carolyn Clayton, 5 step-children, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Bonnie Faye Loveless, Judy Harris, Hazel Pratt and Bill Ray Clayton. And survived by sisters Betsy Hampton, Shirley Taylor and Phyllis Mattison as well as 25 nieces and nephews. He loved being a part of this large family and was love by all!
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 11am at Harvest Assembly of God, 525 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
