Charles T. Shapley, 85, passed away March 22, 2018. He was born in Marietta, Ohio to the late Charles and Evelyn Shapley. Charles proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief. After his navy career, he went on to work at Addressograph in Virginia Beach. He was an avid gardener and flew planes as a hobby. Charles was preceded in death by his son Stephen.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Joan, 2 sons; Chuck Jr. (Kathy), John (Theresa), daughter; Judy Lewis (Bill) and 2 grandchildren.
Charles’ funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA. The family will receive friends from 11-1 PM before the service at the funeral home. Please visit www.woodlawngroup.com to share a memory with the family.
