

He was born in Reedsville OH to Gladys (Hamilton) & Leo B Sisson. After graduating from Olive Orange High school he joined the navy for 4 years and then decided to go home where he owned and operated his own service station in Tupper’s Plains OH as well as drove a school bus for Olive Orange school system for several years. He then decided to rejoin the Navy where he spent the next 23 years before retiring. While stationed in NJ he met and married his loving wife Marie (Hahn) Sisson. They then where stationed in Norfolk VA where they have happily remained for 44 years. After retiring from the navy he began his 22 year career with the City of Norfolk. Upon retiring from the city he started his driving for the Shiners Children’s hospitals to which he found the most rewarding work of all. He was also a lifetime member of the Masons.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years Marie (Hahn) Sisson, his daughter Kymberly, son in law Will Standiford, and adoring grandchildren Amy and Jacob all of Norfolk VA. He will also be missed by his siblings Myra June (Sisson) Argabrite of Norfolk VA, Ellen Louis (Sisson) Vineyard of Brookville OH and John David Sisson of Canton OH, In laws Linda & Joe Lord of Franklinville NJ, Charlene Blasscyk of Franklinville NJ and Cindy and Rick Malone of Monroeville NJ, friends including Pat Riely Of Poquoson VA, Kim Phelps of Fort Worth TX, Bill Bailey of Suffolk VA and Numerous loving nieces and nephews in Ohio, West Virginia and New Jersey.
He is predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and grandsons Benjamin and Caleb Standiford. Memorial service to be determined later.
