Big Danny was a Lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, born July 4th 1953. He was the first child born to Charlie and Von Abrams at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Big Danny married the love of his life Bobbie Sue Van Voorhis who he met in the fifth grade at Louise Luxford Elementary.
They leave behind their Son Charlie Daniel Abrams Jr (Lil Danny). He is also survived by 3 Brothers, Joey, Johnny and Larry (Karla); 2 Sisters Terry and Robin; Sister-in-law Pat of West VA; along with many nieces and nephews; and one grandchild Haley of Virginia Beach.
Danny was a lifelong Subaru mechanic, he started at Nixon Subaru in 1972 at 17; with many accolades and awards. Danny retired to live the easy life that ended too soon, he will be greatly loved and missed by family and friends; including John Maravy and Gary Leach of Gary’s Transmissions.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2:30pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
