Virginia Beach, VA Charlie Marion Dougherty, age 70, passed away at his home Saturday, July 31, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family and his friends. Charlie was retired from Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Company and from Quality Inn Lake Wright, a member of the Tidewater Beekeepers Association and the Eastern Amatuer Pool League. Surviving are his wife, Jeanne M. Dougherty; three daughters, Donna (Walter) Ellis of Virginia Beach; Dana (Pete) Decker, III of Norfolk and Dawn (Charlie) Wilson also of Virginia Beach. Six grandchildren, Madison and Miranda Ellis, Zoe and Petey Decker, Lucas and Peyton Wilson. One sister, Celia (Robert) Joyner of Virginia Beach and nieces, Shelby Minyard and Kristen Joyner.
