Claire P. Kingen, 56, passed away August 21, 2018. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to the late John and Mary Ellen Schwartz. Claire enjoyed reading, watching her favorite Green Bay Packers and spending time with her family and friends. Claire worked in the banking business for nearly 15 years and also as a school secretary and devoted volunteer at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph.
Left to cherish Claire’s memory are her daughters: Katie Kingen, Chrissy Sweeney (Kevin) and Molly Kingen, sisters: MaryAnn Gripp (Bill), Cathy Schwartz, Chris O’Hagan and Donna Schwartz, brother: John R. Schwartz (Liz), 7 nephews, 3 nieces and many other loving friends.
A celebration of Claire’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, VA. The family will gather on Monday night from 6 – 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, to receive friends and share memories.
